The requirements for obtaining a Temporary Graduate Visa (TGV) have changed for holders of Graduate Certificates and Diplomas.

Graduate Certificates no longer fulfill the study requirement for the Temporary Graduate Visa. However, Graduate Diplomas are eligible qualifications for the TGV if they meet one of the following criteria:

1. The Graduate Diploma is obtained after earning an Australian-awarded Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree and is related to the field of study of that qualification.

2. You completed your Graduate Diploma in the same academic year or the following academic year after finishing your Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree (e.g., PhD).
